The Ultimate Month

Dear Friends and Family,

As the last month of the year, and with the city full of holiday energy, December really is the ultimate month. This has been a unique year full of challenges and milestones, making us stronger each day. As I look at 2022, I see a blank canvas of opportunity, especially here in New York City.

I love this city because there is always something going on—we are the city that never sleeps after all! December is prime time for events and experiences to take part in. The excitement of the season extends to the luxury real estate market (over $4M), as well. November was one of the strongest months on record. The second week featured more co-op contracts than any other month in the past decade. And both the second and third weeks surpassed half of a billion dollars in sales volume, a record last broken in 2013. Additionally, the average number of luxury contracts signed during the week of Thanksgiving is 12. This year, we had 37!

After an exciting November it is likely we'll see an even more surprising December and further evidence that New York is far from dead. We are strong and when we get knocked down, we come back even stronger.
