Pride
Dear Friends and Family,
Happy PRIDE month! For me, this month is all about pride in all of the ways it shows up: Pride in my life, in my career, in my team, in Compass, and in my connections with so many amazing people. Along with pride, I'm also feeling immense gratitude towards and appreciation for everyone who has been a part of my journey.
Last month, I was invited to speak on the League of Legends panel at the first-ever in-person Realm Global Collective, a three-day event bringing together the best real estate professionals in the world. It was an immense honor to be recognized and as the only woman on the stage, I am extremely proud to represent an industry that empowers the highest percentage of female business owners in the world.
Being called a “Legend” in this business is an incredible honor and one that wouldn’t be possible without the support of my equally impressive team. I am grateful to work with rockstar sales agents Srsti Purcell and Josh Roberts,
my invaluable team manager, Jane Calvin, and our creative marketing manager, Jack Richards. We are all about our people and dedicated to doing whatever it takes to help everyone find their place in the world.
I am also unabashedly proud to be part of Compass as it becomes one of the youngest companies to join the Fortune 500, and of Robert Reffkin as one of only six Black CEOs and the first Black founder to make the heralded list. With over $6B in revenue last year, I can't wait to see what Compass does now in our 10th year! We are now a national company, but we are New York born and raised and now is an exciting time in the city, with NYC homes selling at their fastest pace in 6 years.
Diversity and representation are keys to ensuring progress in our society and I am glad to help carry the torch for future generations. Last month, I attended the GLAAD Media Awards recognizing excellence in the LGBTQ+ community. I am proud that Compass signed the Human Rights Campaign's Business Coalition for the Equality Act earlier this year, and is joining the NYC Pride March later this month as part of the movement for equality and justice for all. Our tagline for the march is "Live as you. Live with Pride."
