Monica Finkelstein, J.D.
Monica brings a sophisticated, client-first approach to luxury real estate, seamlessly guiding buyers, sellers, and investors through every step of the process. A skilled negotiator with an eye for strategy, she combines market intelligence, discretion, and an unwavering work ethic to achieve exceptional results.
Her love for New York began as a teenager when she attended the School of American Ballet on a merit scholarship. Though she has lived across the U.S. and abroad, Monica always considered New York City her second home and now brings her passion and expertise to Manhattan’s luxury market.
The granddaughter of a builder, real estate was a natural fit for Monica after a successful, decade-long career as an appellate attorney, where she honed the negotiation and analytical skills that now set her apart in residential transactions. She holds a law degree with honors from Southern Methodist University, where she was a Hutchison Fellow, editor of the SMU Law Review, and inducted into the Order of the Coif. She earned her undergraduate degree magna cum laude in Chinese History-Political Science from Colorado College, and studied Mandarin Chinese as a PICAS Fellow at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
A rising star in Manhattan real estate, Monica is also a licensed agent with Compass Houston, where she is known for her integrity and commitment to excellence. Now based in New York, she continues to assist clients nationwide through a curated network of vetted agents. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, attending musicals, and supporting the arts as a proud Patron of the American Ballet Theatre.
